It’s opening night of the 2026 NBA Cup.

The NBA’s regular-season tournament gets started tonight with the first games of the group stage, and the reigning NBA Cup champion New York Knicks are set to face their rival Philadelphia 76ers.

Just last week, the Knicks opened their 2026-27 season with a loss to this new-look 76ers squad that includes Lebron James and Jaylen Brown (who is listed as a game-time decision tonight).

After dropping their first three games of the season, the Knicks come into tonight’s tilt on a two-game winning streak following victories against Detroit and Chicago.

The Sixers are 4-1 after losing to the Pistons earlier this week.

After these two games in quick succession, the Knicks and Sixers won’t meet again until Feb. 11.
