Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg embraces Halloween with Michael Myers costume
SAN FRANCISCO — Its Friday night on Halloween eve as the Golden State Warriors welcome the Los Angeles Lakers to Chase Center for an NBA Cup Group Stage game on Oct. 30.
Things are bound to get spooky as Golden State looks to get their revenge with some home cooking, following their season-opening loss to the Lakers in L.A.
If anyone is ready it’s Warriors rookie forward Yaxel Lendeborg, who displayed his Halloween spirit by arriving to Friday’s matchup wearing a Michael Myers costume from the famed horror film "Halloween."
Whether it’s a statement or just for spirited fun, only Lendeborg knows. Taking their last meeting with the Lakers into consideration, Lendeborg might look to have a Myers-like revenge game and terrorize Los Angeles, specifically Luka Dončić.

In their last matchup, the Wariors rookie was tasked with guarding the Lakers MVP candidate. Individually, he held him to 1-for-5 shooting which included Dončić banking in a half court buzzer-beater going into halftime.
Although, Dončić scored 28 in that game, Lendeborg said he lost all respect for the Lakers superstar.
"I had a lot of respect for him," Lendeborg said after the Oct. 21 matchup. "I didn't watch the NBA much. I just watched highlights, seeing him kill people all the time. But then being in there first hand, just watching him whining and complaining, I lost all respect, man. Like, that was awful.
"I was letting him know because he was laughing and talking all this because of that one foul call,” he added. “His only bucket on me was a banker from half court."
Dončić said Lendeborg was talking crazy. It was his welcome to the NBA moment. It was a given that the two would have their moment on Friday night during their rematch. Here's how the Lendeborg-Dončić matchup went.

He had 35 after three quarters.

Lendeborg has two points and a rebound. His only score was on a fastbreak catching an alley-oop pass from De'Anthony Melton before slamming it down with two hands.

Lendeborg has six points through three quarters.
