Curry shot 11-for-27 from the floor, including 6-for-16 from 3-point range, and a perfect 16-for-16 from the free-throw line en route to his 44 points. Nineteen of those 44 points came in the second quarter.

Four of the five players in the top five for the most career 40-point games age 35-and-up, which also includes Kevin Durant (9) and James Harden (6), are still currently active.
Curry will need at least one more to stand alone atop the leaderboard, but with a sizeable lead over Durant and Harden and a few less birthdays celebrated than James, Curry has a real shot to retire as the leader in 40-point games after turning 35-years-old.
