The Spurs are back to having fun with each other. After surpassing expectations and making the NBA Finals in 2026, the core of the team have returned for training camp looking closer than they did before having a break. Overall, there always seemed to be camaraderie in some form or fashion all summer long. From the group that met Wemby in France to the GQ article that released at the end of September, these guys have been bonding when many take time to themselves.
Apparently someone on the team is giving out nicknames, and Harrison Barnes received the name “Drizz.”
That’s Hector Ledesma of Clutch Points relaying Julian Champagnie’s question “what’s it like to be referred to as Drizz?”
Harrison’s response sent Champagnie into the locker room in haste. Are they messing with each other or do I detect a hint of beef? An obscure and interesting joust to say the least.
Let the interpretations begin.
