Luka Doncic points tonight: Lakers star going off in rematch with Warriors

SAN FRANCISCO — Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic touched down in the Bay Area on a mission to demoralize the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center on Friday, Oct. 30.

Doncic put on a clinic, as he typically does when he's motivated by trash-talk.

The Lakers superstar was called out by Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg after their season opener on Oct. 21. The Warriors rookie and Doncic had been chirping back and forth throughout the game, primarily in the first quarter.

So how did Doncic respond Friday? In their Oct. 30 rematch, Doncic outscored the Lakers by himself with 21 points in the opening period. The Lakers led 38-15 after one but the Warriors stormed back to tie it 53-53 at halftime.

Golden State kept the momentum going and went on to win 112-95, spoiling a brilliant individual effort from the Lakers star.
