This looked so much worse when it happened.

Sacramento Kings backup center Maxime Raynaud suffered a right knee patellar subluxation and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, the team announced. While he will miss the first handful of games this season, that is good news compared to how much time it looked like he would miss after colliding with Stephen Curry and going down in the second quarter of the Kings' preseason loss to the Warriors.

The average missed time for this injury is two weeks, and treatment primarily involves strengthening the muscles around the knee, reports Jeff Stotts of In Street Clothes.

Raynaud, 23, was a second-round pick out of France who impressed in his rookie season, averaging 12.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, earning him second team NBA All-Rookie Team honors. The Kings see him as the franchise's future at center, being the big setting picks for Darius Acuff Jr. and holding down the paint.
