Kon Knueppel, as most of our readers probably know, comes from a serious basketball family. His mother and father played in college where both were their school’s all-time leading scorers, one uncle played briefly in the NBA, two uncles coach in college, all four brothers are promising prospects, and one cousin now plays for Illinois.
Early on, though, somewhat to the surprise of his family, the former Duke star, and current Charlotte Hornet, wasn’t all that interested in basketball. What changed his mind?
Knueppel got obsessed with NBA 2K and NBA Jam, and from there, his love of the game turned into a passion.
It’s too bad the Wii was discontinued 13 years ago, because Nintendo could have run a heck of a campaign with Knueppel.
