Ex-Lakers standout goes public with much-older new girlfriend Amber Rose on LA date

Christian Wood remains an unsigned free agent after spending the past two seasons with the Lakers.

But that hasn’t stopped him from making headlines while in LA.

Photos show the 31-year-old Wood going out on a dinner date with American model and television personality Amber Rose at Matsuhisa, a Beverly Hills restaurant.

Rose is 43 years old, which means there is a 12-year age gap between these two.

Wood has not been in the NBA since the 2023-24 season, when he made 50 appearances with the Lakers and averaged 6.9 points over 17.4 minutes per game. He was waived when Los Angeles signed Alex Len in February 2025.

Rose has dated numerous high-profile celebrities, including Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa (with whom she was married to for over a year and has a son), Machine Gun Kelly, 21 Savage and NBA player Terrence Ross.

Rose also gained a lot of attention for supporting Donald Trump during the 2024 presidential election.

It’s hard to imagine that Wood can make his way back into the NBA at this point, given how he has been out of the league for several years.

But perhaps this relationship with Rose can help him remain relevant.
