The final year of the contract — the 2031-32 NBA season — is a mutual option, and the deal includes a trade kicker, per Charania.
Podziemski reportedly sought between $20 million and $24 million per season, and in the end, he and the Warriors settled on $22 million annually.
The No. 19 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Podziemski enters his fourth professional season with a legitimate chance to start alongside Steph Curry in the Warriors’ backcourt.
The 23-year-old has steadily improved in each of his first three NBA seasons, averaging 9.2 points per game as a rookie and jumping up to 13.8 points per game last season.
The Warriors are expecting big things from Podziemski this season, and he had a strong training camp in Hawaii earlier this month.
